Are you spiritual or religious?

Question

What is the difference between being spiritual and religious?
Have you been one and then the other? What caused the switch?
Are you both? How does that work?
I'm starting to think that I'm more spiritual than I am religious but I may not even actually know what the two mean. I'm curious to know what you guys believe/feel/think.

I don't know what I am. I don't feel the need to label it either. I'm comfortable with how I feel. That's what matter to me. I believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I relate closest to Christianity. I do not identify as a Christian though. There are too many beliefs in there that have been twisted into something I don't agree with. Jesus is my best friend and that's good enough for me.

I am both. I am religious in the sense that I follow an organised religion that does things a certain way and there are specific commands and moral standards that I live by and must follow to call myself a member of the religion. I am spiritual in the sense that I have a personal relationship with God and I talk to him like I would to a very close friend.

I would say, a spiritual person can be spiritual without associating with a religion, but a religious person can’t be religious without also being spiritual. 
For me spirituality is about having a sense of greater meaning, a higher power. But you could feel this without actually identifying with an organised religion. 
A religious person will already have spirituality as a core pillar of their faith. 
Hope that makes sense! It’s just my perspective on a very interesting topic :)

I believe in karma, everything happens for a reason, superstitions, deja vu, dreams having meaning, energy "vibes", etc.

spiritual 100% at this point. 
spiritual in a sense i belive theres good and evil, i belive in an "after life" be it heaven, reincarnation, being a "ghost" whatever really. i dont belive energy dies, i feel we have a soul wich could possibly be the source of said "energy". i belive in karma, rather you recieve karma living or in a spiritual rhelm i believe u "reap what u sow".
i grew up christian but for me i dont really see much difference in Christianity and any other organized religion. the "morals" of the "story" are all generally the same, or they have the same principle

I'm spiritual I think, because I do t have an actual religion but I do believe in a higher power (God/goddess), I do think there's an afterlife, etc etc

I have a relationship with God. So no, I’m not a person that follows all kinds of rules and regulations. But I do try to obey God and avoid sin as much as I can. God and I have a very deep and intimate relationship that I would never get with anyone else. It’s just so amazing 💛

I wouldn’t describe myself as particularly religious because I don’t strictly adhere to the Torah, I am not orthodox and I don’t actually believe in God in the way that he is talked about in the Torah and Bible (that he is an almighty being that controls everything on earth and is all-seeing, all-loving etc.) But I chose religious because I still practice my religion, to me it’s a culture and a community that I have pride in. I didn’t put spiritual because I am a person that is driven by science and I don’t believe that we as human beings can ever truly understand what science cannot explain.
