How often do you put diaper rash cream on your baby?

Just wondering how often you guys use desitin? Every diaper change? Only when needed?

I put on a&d; preventative every diaper change. She has never had a diaper rash and she’s nearly 13 months old.

I use Vaseline baby every single diaper change and it’s prevented any sort of rash for more than 4 months now. We had some bouts of bad rashes since 2 months old and I’d alternate just about every cream on the market, plus oatmeal baths and lots of diaper free time. Since starting the Vaseline baby we’ve not had a single rash. (He’s 13.5 months old now). I find I like the clear creams (more like ointment consistency like Vaseline) better than the white cream/lotions because the white ones were leaving a white gooey film around the tip of his penis that was causing extra irritation. It would stick in the little fold and become really hard to clean out and that was causing irritation.

I use it when his bum gets red, after a particular nasty poop, or if I know he ate a lot of acidic foods (preventative). He’s 3 and has never had a diaper rash!

I do every night. that's just because he sleeps 12 hours with no diaper changes. when he was younger he only got it when he needed it.
