How bad do ivs hurt?

I’ve had my blood drawn a few times. Do ivs feel about the same going into your hand? I’m not real sure where to post this so sorry!

To me they are worse than getting blood drawn. I've had trauma related to them so that could be it. But the thought of having this tube in your arm that pushes stuff into your body makes me want to freak. But again I've had trauma in hospitals so I will have panic attacks when given ivs. But they are so beneficial so if you have to soldier through it. I had a kidney stone pass and it was the most painful thing ever and I was transported to the hospital and even though I wanted to rip my iv out it gave me pain meds that stopped me from all the pain.

it’s about the same as getting blood drawn. One little prick and then you don’t really feel it.

Depends on the person putting in the IV. Initially it hurts when the needle goes in the vein, but shouldn't hurt after that

I don’t think they hurt going in as much as the needle when you get blood drawn. And then you forget about the needle.
It’s just a weird feeling when you move your hand when the needle is in, sometimes a slight pain if you keep moving around
