Introducing a Sippy?

Question

Have any December 2017 babies started using a sippy? Glass, stainless steel, or plastic? What brand? What type of spout (soft, hard, spoutless, straw)? How well is your baby taking to it? What do you give them in it (water, juice, formula)?? Curious about where all the other six month babies are at with this. 
I started giving Jack a sippy about two weeks ago (just water for now) and he had no problem drinking from it. I’m using the Pura Kiki bottle with the XL sipper spout.

I didn’t know you could give them cups! 
My daughter is soooo interested with my drinks and tries to hold them. 
I also didn’t know they could have water. I thought it was only bm/formula til a year, so cool!

we use a 360 cup. I introduced it at 5 1/2 months for her to play with and she took to it right away. I didn't start actively giving it to her til she was 6 months. We just use it for water at meal times and she uses it instead of a bottle with breastmilk if my mil watches her. She never took to a bottle.

I introduced the sippy cup at five months. she was so interested in food and drink that I figured it was a good place to start. She didn't get solid till six months either. She holds her own bottle but lights up completely when she gets a sippy cup! Most of the time it's her formula but if I just expect her to play around with it I put a little bit of water in it. 
I went with the Playtex Sipsters (the soft spot not the straw) because these all fit together through out the different stages. It seemed much more practical as she grows and we potentially lose pieces or break peices haha.

We use a munchkin 360. Took her a couple of days but she’s got it down now. She has only water from it, when she eats solids at breakfast and dinner.

we have 3 sippy cups and one of the 360 wonder cup things, he prefers ones with longer spouts and still trying to figure out the wonder cup

Mine uses MAM trainer sippy but she can also drink from a regular cup also. She has been drinking water since 5 months

I introduced a Munchkin weighted straw cup when we started food (BLW). It took 1 day and she drinks out of it no problem. She only gets water in it.

I've given a nuby stage 1 soft spout to my son a few times. For now he is just playing with it trying to figure out how it works lol. On hot days I'll give him a little water other times it is formula after he has had his solids.
