This is mostly a rant but feel free to leave advice or your similar stories,

So my little boy was born 6/21/18, he'll be a week old tomorrow and my MIL has already been up my ass about pumping,

"If you pump then I can feed him while you sleep,"

"If you pump then I can bond with him better"

"If you pump then you'll know if he's eating enough,"

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against pumping at all and I do eventually plan to pump but AFTER breastfeeding has been established for at least 6 weeks. I tried to explain that you can't put baby on the bottle too soon or else they can get nipple confusion or even start refusing the breast and she was like "Whaaaat?" I guess shes never breast fed before🙄
