Help me gain (healthy) weight?

Aliza

Hey everyone, this is my first post on here which makes me a bit nervous lol. I'm desperate to find some guidance in trying to gain weight healthily. I'm 19, 5'6, and I weigh around 105lbs. I've always been underweight and I have a hard time gaining it, especially since I've been vegetarian for over 5 years now (only saying that so people don't recommend fatty meats haha).

I don't have many pictures of myself but here you can kinda see... I'm skin and bone. It's always been an insecurity of mine, I usually resort to wearing layers and baggy clothes so there's less of a chance for people to comment on it. Having no muscle doesn't help either. 🙃

My little brother is a goof 😊 Anyways, does anyone have any workout/calorie counting tips to help me gain weight? I'm trying to live a healthier lifestyle and keep track of my eating/activity habits, especially since I'll be living in my own apartment this coming fall. Do I seek out foods high in fat, protein, calories, or all? How much of each do I need daily to gain weight with working out? I'm scared to work out and lose weight lol, that's what's stopped me before. What at-home workouts should I start with? And above all... is this gonna be costly or is it affordable? 😅 I'm sorry that this is asking a lot, I've finally decided to truly commit to this so I appreciate any and all advice!!
