I had an emergency c-section on a Wednesday. I’ve read that overall itchiness is a common reaction to one of the medicines often used. However, I’m having a huge reaction on my upper body - my skin is all red and raw, like a very bad sunburn. No one seems to be sure why. Maybe the same drug that causes itchiness, maybe an antibiotic I was on due to prolonged labor. It’s incredibly painful - it’s hard to focus on the c section recovery when dealing with this.

Has anyone else experienced this and how did you make it go away or cope while you waited? I’m miserable!
