Father's rights

Does anyone know if fathers have rights when it comes to being in the delivery room or even being notified when a baby is born? I have a PFA on my soon to be ex husband and I feel like that is enough to not tell him when our son is born, but don't want him to try to sue me for something or another. He is the type to take legal action if someone accidentally sneezes near him. I'd like to not tell him so that I can go and file emergency full custody once I leave the hospital since he tried to kill me while pregnant w this baby he obviously doesn't care about his life either.
