Tips on protecting tattoo at work?

I work at a doggy daycare/boarding place. I recently got moved over to the big dog side where the dogs thankfully don’t jump as much/nails scratch like the little/medium dogs did.
I plan to get a tattoo on my forearm and want to protect it the best as possible incase something does happen. Long sleeves obviously but what else can I layer ontop that I can easily remove to let my tattoo breathe when I get the chance through out my 5 hour shift?
This won’t be an everyday thing as I work part time but!!

 I had gotten my tattoo on my hip tho so that’s covered . I’d definitely keep it covered with a gauze wrap. An keep A&D; cream on it for couple days so doesn’t get dried out.

Ok so I actually got my first tattoo on my forearm while also working at a kennel. I’d suggest finding a few old long sleeve shirts and cutting the sleeves off so you can wear the sleeve while at work (or anytime you’re outside) make sure the dogs don’t lick it (sounds weird but most dogs like to do this) wash it right after you get home. Having clothing covering it isn’t going to hurt it and it still lets it breath. Avoid bathing dogs the first two weeks (scented soap hurts like hell) keep a think of tattoo soap at work to clean itt if it gets dirty.

You could put gauze over it but it really should be left to breathe.

Saran Wrap it.  Every two hours or so go to the bathroom and clean it with plain non-scented dial soap and re-wrap it. Keep it moisturized with Eucerin Aquaphor, or any unscented lotion. (Lubriderm)
