Early labor scare, 24 weeks (longish)

Destiny

So yesterday I had a crappy crappy terrifying day, everything was perfectly fine until about 1pm, I started getting pressure and pain in my groin and back that was coming and going every 5-10 minutes, thought nothing of it. I put my feet up and started drinking more water but they didn’t stop and slowly got worse over the course of an hour. My husband came home for lunch and we decided to call my doctors office and were told to go into l&d; to get looked at. We get in and the pains aren’t subsiding. After a few hours of observation on monitors they told us that I was having contractions but that they were very small and weren’t causing my cervix to dilate, thank god. They gave me a shot to relax my uterus and after about an hour THE CONTRACTIONS RETURNED, fun times. The entire time my baby was rolling and kicking and had a strong heartbeat, to the point the nurses got tired of having to put the monitor over her and just removed it because she kept moving it from the inside and they told me I had a very unusually strong baby for her gestational age haha. I ended up getting two more of those shots and being trapped in the hospital for about 8 hours with contractions and no dilation, and no good explanation for any of it. My doctor came in at the very end of it to check on me and decided that no dilation gave me the clear to go home. I’m so worried now that this will happen again and my little girl will make an early entrance. So far my mother’s theory is that because I’m so small (4ft 7, 85 pounds before pregnancy) that my body isn’t handling it very well. All in all though my daughter is extremely healthy and stubborn.
