Okay okay...

So my boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 years....

We are both young, yes, I’m 20 and he’s turning 20 in a few weeks.

We have gone through the whole high school (and part of middle school) drama together meaning we had a lot of ups and downs. Lots of petty fights. Lots of stupid arguments. Never lasted more than a month or two.

We had a bit of a break during the month of May due to a lot of doubt and questions we both had.

We got back together and he was facepalming the entire time being like “you have no idea how stupid I feel for letting one dumb question just bother me so much”. We have recovered, and we are in a good place.

My family on the other hand... still mad...

NOW, finally, the part that really matters...

He’s going to propose to me very soon. My mom has always been best friend but my number one critic as well. She’s still very mad at him. So, me knowing this whole him bending the knee ordeal and knowing how she feels, it makes me so nervous.

So, my question, how do you tell your parents without having them just freak and stop supporting you?
