Any caregivers out there?

I work for a behavorial health company at a assisted living facility .....I work 4 tens as a nurse...I have so much pain in my hips,pelvic, and lower back while at work and swelling in my hands and feet by my second day off I feel better and my first day back at work by four hours in im in pain and swollen...any suggestions? anyone else expercing this?

Ask work to accommodate you. I would look into some compression stockings for the swelling and maybe a belly band would help relieve some back discomfort. I don’t work in that capacity as a nurse anymore, but I could not imagine being pregnant trying to do it.

I work as a full time Occupational Therapist at a SNF. Transfers, ADLs, exercises.... My hips and back suffer. I just try to find little moments to sit and rest and ask for help when needed. Your work should be accommodating for you to some extent. Stretch on your breaks. It’s rough. You’re not alone 😢
