How to help baby fix his days and nights?...

My LO has his days and nights mixed and advice on how to fix it would be very helpful. He’s a week old.

Keep the house bright during the day and dark in the evening. Start a bedtime routine now. Just be consistent and baby will catch on.

I was reading that at this age they really don’t know the difference. You can try to keep the room dim and quiet when he wakes up. I’ve honestly been struggling as well, he will be up all night and sleep mostly through the day 😪

What worked for us was to keep the house alive during the day, lights on, sound on, and lots of interacting with her. And at night to shut everything down. Lights dim, not too much noise, and try not to stimulate them. I know that part sounds crazy but eye contact and talking to them wakes them up. We also do white noise and because it’s summer, the fan is always on, that helps too. By the time she was 3/4 weeks, she wasn’t awake as much at night.
