What dog breed should we get?

Boyfriend & I are getting a dog when we move into our apartment. What’s a good breed to have in an apartment?

Any dog from a shelter. Believe it or not, Great Danes do well in an apartment because they’re generally lazy. Any dog could do well in an apartment though, it’s really depends on the individual dog itself and not so much the breed. Yeah, certain breeds have certain traits but you get lazy working dogs and active lap dogs all the time. I’d suggest going to your local shelter and spending time with some adoptable dogs.

I have a Maltese and he’s so good he loves to chill, he’s not a barker, and he literally stays in my room all day, and best part they don’t shed.

I love Shelties but also you should really get one from a shelter, Most shelters are full right now. But you should look into your apartments breed restrictions and if yours doesn't have any look into other common breed restrictions so if you ever move into another apartment you are not in danger of having to rehome your dog.

Dachshunds are the best, especially if you get one that has low energy. They love to nap and their facial expressions are the best! They will always keep you laughing. And they’re like Lays chips, you can’t just have one! Just a warning though, once you get one weenie you want them all lol

Get a low energy, small dog. Please do NOT get a large dog like a Great Dane or a jack Russell terrier like others suggested.
