Bruising from Wax Strips?

Hi everyone. So, yesterday I tried wax strips for the first time on my bikini line because my birthday is in 3 days (and it’s on the beach). When I finished waxing, I realized I was starting to bruise on my bikini line. Has this happened to anyone before? I’ve never had sensitive skin but maybe it’s just sensitive in that area. More importantly, does anyone know how to get rid of bruises??

Yes! The first time I waxed I was so bruised. It’s when you don’t pull the skin tight enough. You live and learn.

Been there, done that! 
If you don’t pull your skin taught before pulling off the wax strip (in the opposite direction of hair growth), it will tug your skin and cause bruising.
I get waxed regularly by a professional and it never happens, but when I did it myself on my bikini line and didn’t pull the sin taught, this happened. 
Bruising went away within 5 days

I’ve never gotten bruises down there and I get professionally waxed every three weeks. I get EVERYTHING taken off and have no bruising at all but maybe your skin is just a lot more sensitive than mine is?
