Thyroid issue?

It’s been about a year of my husband and I trying to conceive. My OB sent me for blood work- specifically 7 days after I got a LH surge to see if I ovulated, but she also wanted to check my thyroid..
I got the results back and it turns out that my thyroid is not really producing anything? But the good news is I ovulated...has anyone had this issue? Did it prevent you from getting pregnant even though you were ovulating? I go to see my primary doctor on the 10th I am just curious to find out if anyone else had this issue.

I’ve had hypothyroidism since I was 11 (24 now). My first pregnancy was a surprise and it had been a while since I had my thyroid tested, at my first appointment I got blood drawn and found out it wasn’t hardly working. Over the course of a few weeks we had to keep upping the dosage on my levothyroxine and at 12 weeks I had a missed miscarriage. It was suggested by my doctor that it could have been that my thyroid was so out of control. 
I’m now 41 weeks pregnant and my thyroid has been closely monitored and has been under control, I haven’t had any complications with this pregnancy at all. 
I would just suggest to keep a close eye on it and take you’re medication every morning around the same time. Also I noticed it’s not super wacky when I’m eating right and working out regularly. Hope some of this helps!

Abnormal thyroid function, both high and low, can certainly affect fertility, baby development or can cause miscarriage. That is something you definitely want to get corrected to help with fertility and prevent any pregnancy complications. Typically this is an easy fix with medication whether you are hyper or hypothyroid. 
My endocrinologist emphasizes that baby uses mommas thyroid for development and it is very important to keep thyroid function normalized.
