when's the right time to buy?? 🤔🤔

just wondering when and if people have brought baby bits yet?? I'm due 23rd of December is it too soon??

I’ve started buying already, lol. It’s garage sale season where I live so we have been hitting up garage sales and getting good deals:) I’ve also found a couple things at our local thrift stores (newborn diapers new in package $3, brand new name brand diaper bag, tags still attached $5) I’m not really shopping for stuff yet but when we see something we need or will use for baby, I just buy it. Would rather get stuff at a slower pace and spread out the cost:) I’m almost 16 weeks.

I’m due 12/17 and i’ve bought tons! I have a friend who had a son a few years ago due on the same day as me. She had a rummage sale and I stocked up like crazy! Got a great deal on a stroller/car seat at toysrus before they closed. If I find a great deal, i’ll buy! Can’t pass up saving money on this stuff... its expensive!

I know some people like to wait until after their baby shower to purchase whatever they still need, which is how I did it with my first. Since this is my 4th, I won’t be having a shower and I’ll be purchasing everything myself. I got rid of all our baby stuff because we thought we were done (stupid move) and so I’m going to start making purchases this week. I figure the sooner I start buying the better because I don’t want to have to drop a ton of money all at once. I’ll probably buy onesies/bibs/bottles and all the other little stuff here and there between now and December, and split up the big purchases (furniture, breast pump etc) between paychecks. Im also gonna start collecting diapers because that’s the suckiest part of not having a shower. It’s sooo nice to have boxes of diapers ready to go when baby’s here.

almost 18 weeks and I have all the items weay need lined up on registries, however, we are Jewish so we won't do a shower. We will buy the essentials just before baby is born (1 month before for a few hospital items, plus car seat) and while we are in the hospital, we will order the big ticket items. It's superstitious to buy and hold onto baby items especially in your home before baby arrives in Judaism.

I’m 17 weeks and have bought a bunch of stuff, mostly second hand or in sales, or when I’m at tjmaxx and see adorable outfits I can’t resist lol. People have also been giving us lots of stuff

I’m due 12/30 and have just started picking up things here and there. It’s been hard to buy too much since we don’t know the gender yet but I’ve picked up some gender neutral outfits, books, baby essentials, etc.

This is our fifth so no baby shower. We will wait till we know the gender if it’s a girl we have everything our youngest is a girl so we still have all her clothes but our boys are 9and7 so we gave all that away a long time ago. So if we have a boy we’ll have to start over lol so the second we find out....if it’s a boy I’ll start shopping (probably second hand stores to save) 
If I were you I’d wait till after your shower at least for the clothes blankets stuff like that because that’s normally what people like to get you. You could start getting the big stuff now because normally people don’t get the big things like furniture pumps stroller ext.. although I have been to a few showers where they have got strollers pack and play and pumps. Mine I got clothes homemade blankets diapers and little things

I’m waiting until after my shower to really start shopping, but I have been checking garage sales and thrift stores for deals on some of the larger items gently used. It is the first grandchild on my side and second on my husbands so being due right before Christmas I think I won’t have to buy much. My sister and sisters in law are definitely the type to go overboard. Very blessed to have such an involved family.
