Boy Crush Help!! 🙀🙍🏻‍♀️

There's this guy I've been starting to fall for, but it seems like there are so many hurdles to go over before I can fully start liking him. First off, he's older by around 3 years? I know that is not much, but I've never dated an older guy before so that's new for me. I've grown up with this guy basically, his family and my family are super tight. We go way back, my grandmother was best friends with his grandma. So I feel like 1 mishap, could mess up that friendship and that would end badly. Also, I don't know if he is in to me exactly. Sometimes he says things that are chill but other times what he says is super flirty. I'm not sure if I like him as much as I say I do, because I'm partly scared too. What should I do? Should I get over my fears and start to crush on him? Or should I just stop? 😢
