One more ultrasound?

I was wondering if I get one more “standard” ultrasound soon? Everyone on my daily articles has recent ultrasound pics. We plan on doing a private 4D one soon, but I figured I’d have one soon to make sure the baby’s growing okay? I’m 28w4d.

My first pregnancy , I had 4 ultrasounds. Very healthy pregnancy.. my second pregnancy I had a miscarriage so only one ultrasound. My third pregnancy I had twins. I had ultrasounds every appointment because they check growth a lot. But they were born at 29 weeks 6 days which was only 4 days after an ultrasound.. then my now 4th pregnancy which is completely healthy , I have had 6 ultrasounds so far because they are unsure if I will deliver early but I’m done getting ultrasounds & im 28 weeks today. They will probably do a growth scan in a few weeks tho.

I’m a FTM and I haven’t had a doctor do an ultrasound since I was 20 weeks. We did our own 4 d scan at 28 and now I’m 35 and  now the doctor said I won’t have anymore unless something is wrong. So while I wish I had one more, it’s a good thing!

My doctor generally does 8, 12, and 20. However, I will get a growth scan next week at 32 weeks because of fibroids, if all is well I assume that will be my last one.

In most normal pregnancies, you don’t have another after 20 weeks.

I’d ask your OB some have a final scan for growth/position around 34/36, but many people with regular pregnancies are done after their 20 week scan. 
I’ve had 3 scans since my 20 week one and will have to have another but baby has needed to be check for growth and has had some other issues that needed monitoring.

I got 4 during my pregnancy.  8,12,20 and 33 weeks.

Unless you have a high BMI, issue or risk from medication you tend to only get the two scans.

If you have a healthy pregnancy they normally only do two unless there’s s reason for concern.
