Am I overreacting?

My husband has a 6 year old daughter, from a fling he had while in his 20s.. she's my best friend & I love her to death, but her mom texts my husband, sometimes 10x a day (honestly) pictures of her, or some new thing she learned. I'm totally fine with them texting that stuff don't get me wrong.. but isn't that a little excessive? Sometimes if he doesn't respond, she'll (the mom) will ask why he doesn't give a shit about his daughter (eye roll he obviously does) Is it wrong of me to be annoyed with this? He doesn't say anything but I get sick of his phone going off every 2 min with another txt from her. She's married now with another child..  she's always texting his mom & sister too

Personally I think it’s a great thing she keeps him updated about his Daughter when he’s not with her. It’s good to bare in mind that is his child and he in turn will enjoy to see her and get updates. 
Unfortunately there’s not much you can say or do in this situation you signed up for a man with a child from a previous relationship/hook up what ever that may be. 
Just try to focus and build on the relationship you have with your Boyfriend and his Child

I think it’s good she keeps him involved in his daughter’s life. Some women completely shut the father out, and this woman is going above and beyond to include him in his daughter’s daily life. I don’t see anything wrong with it as long as the texts are strictly about his daughter.

As long as the texts are just updates about the daughter then I don’t see what the problem is. Seems like she is just trying to keep him as involved as she can so he doesn’t miss anything. If he is fine with it and likes the updates then 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s super annoying and she might love the fact that she’s poking her nose in your relationship but it might be best for all parties to let this one slide. You love the little girl, you love your husband, and stirring something up might just make the water murky. 
Something that might be positive would be to start a photo stream (if everyone has iPhones) were all invested family members can be following and posting photos.

As long as the texts are strictly about his daughter and that’s all I see no problem with it atleast she is including him in his daughters life.

You know what would be more “annoying”? Him never receiving anything about his child and not knowing what’s going on with her life when he’s not around. Good job to his daughters mom for putting her personal shit aside and keeping her daughters dad involved. That’s good coparenting.
