My gnome downstairs

Amanda

Does anyone else feel like their huge belly is grossing out their partner? I’ve been married 8 years, this is our 3rd pregnancy but first baby that’s sticking around. I was teeny tiny before pregnancy and now I’m a cow and my husband has no desire to touch me, let alone look at me ☹️. Does this pass or am I alone out here??

Oh :,( I don’t think it’s because of how you look! Guys are weird when it comes to sex and pregnancy, he might be afraid of hurting baby or feel weird about invading baby’s space. I hope it gets better for you!

I feel exactly the same. Have you talked to him about it? Mine says that he just feels weird knowing there’s a baby in there and so close to everything. I know it’s a total mental thing for him but it still hurts my pregnant feelings. We’ve had sex twice in the almost 16 weeks I’ve been pregnant. I was getting upset about it and then just decided to get a vibrator instead, lol. I can’t change how he feels but it sure does sting my heart a little. He did this with my last pregnancy too but it didn’t really get this bad until later on in my pregnancy when I was much bigger than I am now. Sorry I’m not much help. I just think some guys struggle more than others.

We’ve talked a little and he says it’s weird and he’s tired all the time, but you’re right it hurts my feelings because it feels like it’s me grossing him out.. im starting to resent my belly which I know is wrong but the sadness that comes with it sucks tremendously. I’m glad im not entirely alone on this gnome thing..
