At what age did you break pacifier habit with your child/ children?

How did you do it? Just curious. My niece is almost 2 years old and we've noticed her front teeth have developed to be very outward and curved. It's very hard to have her let go of her pacifier. Just curious to know how old was your child/children when they let go? was it easy ?

at 2yo, you could try suggesting the pacifier fairy who comes to take the binky away and leaves a nice big girl book or something else exciting like a cool new toothbrush.

Once her top teeth finally break through, they're gone. We tried taking them away at a year old. Then her top teeth starting coming it. It really helps soothe her through the pain. They've almost cut now.

My daughter was about 18 months. She woke up one morning and daddy just said “ok give daddy your paci, it’s going bye bye” 
And she never had it again. She whined for it a few times but we just told her it went bye bye and after a few days she just never asked anymore

it depends on the kid my cousin had it for comfort until she was 4 but reading this she isnt your kid so you shouldnt be doing anything without the parents permission

We'll be taking it at 18 months (she's currently 13 months). I had originally wanted to take it at 12 months, but we have a lot of big changes happening in the next few months (including a cross country move) and I don't want so many changes at once for her. It makes those transitions much more challenging. Once we're moved and settled, I'm taking it. Cold turkey. Currently she only takes it at naps and bedtime and periodically throughout the day she'll see it on a table and pick it up. But it's not out of comfort and she doesn't NEED it. So I'm not concerned about the transition.

And yes. Everytime she lost them didnt go out of my way to buy more so it just "forced" her getting used to not having it

14 months and I put them all in the trash one day and that was that no more passie. the first 2 days were rough but after that never even knew they were gone

2 yrs old its time to get rid of it. Since her teeth are coming in.

I broke my daughter around 1. I just took it away. She was always so busy, she didnt even notice.
