Heat Stroke - Do you have to go to the hospital?

I got heat stroke yesterday - I passed out and experienced horrible nausea and confusion. I really dont remember a lot about what happened. 
I was at warped tour and I was seen by a medic - but I started to feel better after about 30 minutes or so. 
Im just worried because whenever I see anything about heat stroke it says to call 911. Should I have gone to the hospital? Are there symptoms I should be watching for?

As long as you were checked out my a medic, you should be fine. They say called 911 because most people who get heat stroke are at a beach or at home working in the yard or something similar.

Yes so they can run a brain scan. Heat stroke kills brain cells no matter how long you were out, you should go so they can figure out the extent of the damage and in which area of the brain it is localized
