when it comes to feeding the kids

So if you are a vegetarian would you make your kids become vegetarian? or would you allow them to have a choice in what they eat? 
I am not vegetarian, but I am asking because in going through a bit of a situation and would like some thoughts about this.

I'm vegetarian but my husband isnt. We encourage our four year old to eat whichever she prefers. She vehemently refuses all meat, except duck bacon. She loves her some duck bacon...

I wouldn’t “make” my child do anything. I would give them what they need nutritionally, explain my beliefs/dietary preferences, and then let them choose when they are old enough.

I would still give my kid the options. I wouldn't want to close them up from the world full of different foods, and let them decide what they want to eat, while educating them in healthy eating of course.
