I don’t understand why it seems like everyone keeps having exams at the ob? Like from 36 weeks? So many women are dilated up to 3cm for weeks or high and closed then go into labour and have baby the next day. Vaginal exams seem to have zero medical need? Like if they don’t actually tell you anything about when you’re going to go into labour and have baby then why do them? Everyone keeps asking me if I’ve had one yet. I’m just genuinely really curious what the point is?
