Any success with having your membrane swept?

Question

Had my membrane swept today at 38 weeks. I was dilated to 5 and 75% effaced before she did it. Has anyone started labor soon after having your membrane stripped?

Had it with my second and third and it didn’t work for me! Now on my fourth I’m a firm believer in they literally don’t come unless your body is ready!! Having said that I still wouldn’t turn one down if I was offered 😂

Following. Second time mom. 38 weeks and I had mine done today as well. Never worked with my first born but trying not to lose hope this time.

With my first, i had one done at 38 weeks which didnt take. Then I had one at 39 weeks this one worked. I was 2 cm and 70% effaced.
