Polysporin for Cracked/Scabbed Nipples?

I read online that Ploysporin could help heal cracked/scabbed nipples. Looking for anyone’s input.

I don’t know about that, I feel like it could be toxic for baby once they put their mouth on your nipple? And if not toxic - then at least gross tasting, which I wouldn’t want my baby to associate my nipple with a gross tase, it could cause an aversion I would think.

No! Try rubbing your breastmilk on your nipples to help sooth. If that's not enough, try a little bit of coconut oil.

I’ve read contradicting info about polysporin for this purpose. I would look into specific nipple cream/balms first.
