Lifting restrictions?

I’m 37 weeks with twins and have a c section scheduled for this Friday because one is still breech. How long after a c section do lifting restrictions last? I have a 2 year old daughter and I haven’t been able to lift her for at least a month and I miss picking her up :(

I put it off as long as possible. I had a 18mo when my second (8.1oz) was born. it's all to protect you weakened abdominal muscles. if you're aware of this and use your obliques (the sides) more you are "okay" but be weary. over use too soon can cause long term effects to you core strength.

6 weeks, but that only counts for so much, I had a 10 lbs baby my first csection and a 9lbs baby my second. I picked them both up but was told I shouldn't unless sitting. My 3 year old daughter is going to flip her lid if she can't at least sit on me as I've been a chair since birth for her. so once I'm feeling healed enough it'll be back to business as usual.

I had no issues was moving furniture 2 weeks later, everyone is different x
