My boyfriend wants to have sex but I don’t, help?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over 7 months now. He is 17 and I am 15, nearly 16. Him and I are very close and I’ve known him for over a year. Sex has come up in conversation here and there, but I’ve never felt comfortable committing to it. We both are still virgins. He’s told me he’s ready, but I’m not. I feel stupid for not feeling the same way. How do I tell him I’m not ready yet without upsetting him?

You tell him you're not ready. He shouldn't be upset about that and if he is then you dodged a bullet! Also, depending where you live this wouldn't be the smartest decision considering you may not be of legal age to give consent. Don't feel stupid for making our own decisions especially about this!

you're 15. it's 100% normal not to be ready yet. he should respect that you're not ready yet and wait. if he can't then you should leave. don't feel pressured to do it before you're ready. that's a quick way to regret it. also, this is a good time to start educating yourself about sex if you have questions. don't jump into sex before you're ready, which includes having the knowledge to make informed decisions about your body and having sex the way you want to. this means using the amount of protection that you are comfortable with. its very important especially when considering a sexual relationship with someone that you know that you have a voice and you need to be able to speak up about what you think is best to do with your body. guys dont always have your best interests in mind and will often care more about their level of comfort over yours or they dont think about the fact that you may not be on the same page. if you are struggling to even say youre not ready for sex, thats a very good sign that you really shouldnt jump into it. its an indication that you may not have the confidence to look after yourself over his wants and desires. youre not stupid for not being ready. you just need the confidence to realize that you are in control of your body and guys ned to respect that. boys arent worth it if they cant respect your body and your choice

you straight up tell him "I'm not ready. no". he should not only respect your honesty but he should respect You and your feelings. of not dump that guy. this is not something that you have to consider his feelings or anybody else's for that matter. this is completely all about you. if you're not ready PLEASE don't do it. You will regret it so bad. Don't let him pressure you or convince you. even if you slip into a state where it's just "in the moment" stop. think about it. because once that moment is done you're going to realize what just happened. this is something you want to feel good about when it's all said and done.
