When is it time to have sex?

Hey guys, so I’ve been talking to this guy for about three months but about one month ago we confessed our feelings and a week and a half ago we had our first kiss. We were making out today on his bed and he was getting reallyyyyyy into it, like grinding into my pelvis so much so that he began to get a little hard before I had to leave him and go to school. Anyway, I’m really into this guy and I think he’s amazing, but I just don’t know when the right time to have sex is? Like, is it too soon because we only had our first kiss a week ago? Or should I wait like a month or two?
