Taking my first trip ?! Any advice ?

Question

My boyfriend and I are  planning to take a trip to Florida for his birthday. Were going August 1-7,8. I’ve never been on a plane , nor out of state ! Any advice about flying , hotels , package deals ? Anything you wish you would’ve done or know before taking a trip ? Anything helps !! Thank you ❤️❤️

I travel by plane every year! Here’s some of my tips  
•The most important tip is to arrive at the airport early. Going through security can either go by fast or it’ll take a little longer. Try to arrive at LEAST an hour and a half early because if not you can miss your plane
•For airport security reasons, do not wear anything metal. Either that or make sure you remove all metal before going through security
•Airports are huge and it could take you 15 minutes to get from one side of the airport to the other  
 
•When you’re packing, instead of folding your clothes roll them up because that’ll give you more space in your luggage 
•Make sure you don’t put large amounts of liquid or sharp objects like scissors in your carry on bag. You will be asked to throw it away 
•Have something to keep you entertained because there’s a lot of waiting involved lol
•Dress comfortable. You have to remove your shoes when going through airport security so wear some type of slide on shoe, sandal, or flip flops to make the process quicker
•Bring your own snacks. Airport food is overpriced
•Keep in mind how long your flight is. Short flights go by quickly but longer flights are a different story 
•Get enough sleep the night before
•Don’t overpack. Especially if you plan on buying things during your trip
•When choosing a hotel make sure to ask if you can see the rooms first. 
•No matter how nice the hotel is, make sure to spray everything with Lysol and wear flip flops when you get in the shower. It’s just a cleanliness thing because you never know 
•Florida typically has nice hotels so I don’t think you’ll have any problems finding a good one!
