I just got my first UTI.

I started the symptoms Sunday night (i.e. Just te constant urge to pee and a slight burning sensation) and then was up 4 times Sunday night I to Monday morning to pee. So I went to the walk in clinic and low and behold: UTI. I was given some antibiotics (4 days worth) and sent on my way. They said I caught it early and it was nbd.

I felt better just a few hours after taking the first antibiotic and after a day and a half or feel perfectly fine. Although I obviously plan on finishing out the antibiotics course.

But I just did a quick Google and apparently you shouldn't have sex for 2 weeks after the symptoms subside??

Is this a hard and fast rule? I feel like my UTI was caught so early and I felt better so quickly 2 weeks seems ridiculous...
