She suggested that her daughter take my daughter and raise her and I take my sister in laws dog. She said I’d do better with a dog rather than a child. I took it like a joke. I laughed and said “Sure, why not they’re equal.” She then says “I’m serious I’d feel better having my daughter raise her than for you to. A dog is more your level.”

For starters I’m a special needs elementary school teacher. I have a masters in teaching children. My daughter is meeting her milestone, is loved and is very healthy. Nothing about her says she needs someone else to raise her. We are fine!
