I understand that every time you have sex you are at a risk of getting pregnant since no form of birth control is ever 100%. I just got into my first relationship, I’m 20 years old, after being kept in a strict household. The reason I’m coming here is because I have no one to talk to about having sex and my mom has raised me believing sex is bad and anytime you do it you’ll get pregnant, you know religious type of stuff.

However I have been with this guy for almost a year now and we have finally been having sex. He understood why I was so nervous but I can truly say I love him and I was ready for it. The last time we had sex was June 14th before I left to go study abroad. I have been on combination birth control for almost a year now, my mom doesn’t know, and on top of that my boyfriend uses a condom every time we have sex. The reason I’m worried is because I got my period during my placebo week on June 19th but it was a lot shorter. It was maybe two days long, dark brown plus some clotting and tissue. Fast forward, I felt fine after getting my period but now it’s June 3rd and for the past couple of days I’ve been having really sensitive nipples/painful nipples and I’m not sure why but I know it’s a sign of pregnancy. I’m still on my active pills and my placebo week starts after next week. Does anyone know why this is happening? Should I test? Thanks so much, I’m happy I can turn to you guys for help!
