So this morning i had my first doctors appointment. According to this app I’m 8w5d.

A little back story, I just had my 2nd baby girl in December of 2017. She just turned six months old. Even though I was/ still am EBF her I got my period back at the end of January. My periods continued every month but we’re irregular. We were trying to get pregnant so i was using ovulation tests. We got pregnant the 2nd month of trying.

My last period was April 30th-May4th, I ovulated May 17th. Based on my last period I’m 8w5d but when I went in for my ultrasound I was put at only 6w3d and the tech was unable to find a heartbeat. The tech did both vaginal and abdominal ultrasounds. No heartbeat with either.

After my scan the doctor came in and the first thing she said to me was congratulations, that confused me because I was just told my baby didn’t have a heartbeat. She asked for my symptoms and I let her know I was just a bit nauseous, super sore boobs (could be from breastfeeding) and sometimes occasional cramps. She continues on and let’s me know I could possibly have a miscarriage and let’s me know all my options so that I can be prepared. That scared me so much. I’m scheduled back in a week for another ultrasound. I also was sent to do blood work and she told me they would have the results by the end of the day. I never received a call, hoping for tomorrow morning.

I just hope that since my periods were a bit irregular after having baby girl, my dates could be off. I’m so worried. I hope we here better news next week 🤞
