First Ovulation Test

Does a faint pink line on an ovulation test indicate your ovulation is coming? On the test box it said that a faint line is a negative but it doesn’t explain if a faint line indicates the ovulation coming soon or not. Also, does a positive on an ovulation test only show up the day you’re ovulating?

A little background info on me: I just lost my daughter to SIDS 6/7/18 and my husband and I are TTC again for the first time. I got my first period already since I am not breastfeeding and based on my period schedule prior to pregnancy I should be ovulating soon but I am assuming that my period schedule is all messed up after pregnancy. I gave birth 5/17/18 via c-section and I am 20 years old - not sure if this info is helpful but I thought I would share.
