How soon did you move baby from your room to their nursery for nighttime sleeping?

I know people who did it right from coming home from the hospital and people who waited a year. What did you do?

My daughter moved from a bassinet in our room to a crib in her own room at 11 weeks. I went back to work at 12 weeks and didn’t want to worry about my alarm waking her up. The transition was super easy for her (I struggled the first couple of nights). I don’t even think she noticed the move.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, babies should sleep in their parents’ room—but not in the same bed—for at least the first six months of life, ideally for the whole year, to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) by as much as 50 percent. Exactly why room-sharing dramatically lowers the likelihood of SIDS is still unclear, but it’s thought that having other people in the room makes baby sleep more lightly, possibly leading to a reduced risk.

We moved our son at 6 weeks. He was loud at night and we weren’t getting much sleep. We moved his bassinet too. He was a few months old when we transitioned to the crib.

My son has never been in our room, since we got out of the hospital hes been in his own room so since 4 days old. He is currently 3 months and hasn't had a problem sleeping in his room.

Both my kids were moved to own rooms around 2 months.    my son sleeps through the night to this day and hes 2.  my daughter just turned two months old and gets up once in the night. but so far so good. its all up to the parents but i think the child sleeps better if no disturbance. like shuffling in bed. lights going to bathroom etc.

For my first he was 4 weeks, he was loud and my husband couldn’t sleep. My second is 15 weeks and still in our room, she was loud until 6 weeks, but he gave in to me. She sleeps in her bed after her early morning feed and naps in her room.

My son was about 3.5 months. I was nervous because his room is at the other end of the house (there's no room near our master unfortunately) and I promised my husband I would move him before I went back to work. Honestly, it was the best thing ever for me. I was very nervous having him in our room, every little noise woke me up and I would fret or when he needed to eat, I would roll over and try to get him to take his pacie for 5 more minutes of sleep then fall asleep in the nursing chair for hours on end. When he moved, I would go feed him and go right back to bed. We both got much more valuable sleep. 
With my daughter, we moved her at 5 weeks  when we saw the same patterns happening. If one of them had struggled through, I would have moved through right back, but it was never an issue.

Our daughter slept in a pack n play in our room from 0-6 months and then we moved her to her crib in her nursery from there. It's recommended by the AAP that baby sleeps in your room for the first 6-12 months. I was aiming for a year, but at 6 months she started to get restless and wasn't sleeping through the night as easily. So I moved her and it fixed the problem.

I did 7 months, mainly because he was sleeping well in our room and I didn't feel the need to make the change until there was a reason to.

My daughter is 2 weeks old and she’s been in her own room since we brought her home. She goes to bed pretty easily most nights.
