When does the 3rd trimester begin?

I’m curious what week during pregnancy the 3rd trimester begins? Sorry if this question is silly, but yeah 🤷‍♀️ I don’t know lol

I feel like it’s different depending on where you look but generally I’ve seen 27 or 28 weeks. Although when I hit 26 weeks on Tuesday this app welcomed me to the third tri 🤔

If you split 40 weeks into thirds you get 13 and 27.. 27 weeks is when you hit 6 months so you will also be 3 months from due date.
