Now that u started taking birth control pills, u always go by ur pill pack, not the app. It can take 3-6 months for ur body to adjust to being on (or off) birth control, so irregularities with bleeding are normal during that time. Also, ur withdrawal bleed/“period” can come on any day during the placebo/sugar pills week, from the first day to the last day. Plus, one of the ways hormonal birth control works is by thinning the uterine lining, which can sometimes result in little to no bleeding. That said, regardless if ur “period” comes or not, u ALWAYS start a new pack of pills on time, otherwise u risk pregnancy & other side effects.
