answered questions
So like many women in here I had a million questions about the csection that is coming here are some answers for me;
Epidural or Spinal? Spinal because you feel less over all and allows you to be moving around sooner.
Support during spinal? No, unfortunately because of possible complications (ie needing general anesthesia) moms are alone for the procedure. Support is brought in as soon as they finish with spinal and can stay for the rest of the csection.
Can I watch baby come out? Yes, if you want to. they do have option of lowering or opening drape for that portion of the csection.
Dad cut cord? no but dad can often trim cord however if left longer.
Avoid Ibuprofen medications? yes, let your doctor know if you can not take it for whatever reason . My stomach can't handle it and I havent taken it in years, I will have the option but be prescribed something that is easier on my stomach and kidneys.
Although alot of these answers weren't what I was expecting I feel knowledge is power. These may vary some depending on hospital policy and preferences of your doc/anesthesiologist. I did finally get to schedule my csection (yay) Hopefully this helps! Anyone else get questions answer about upcoming csection? please share ♡
