What car seat are Dec baby’s using these days?

Question

Just wondering if any baby’s have switched from infant to convertible seat yet. I’ve been thinking about it for a while now. Mila is 6.5 months, weighing 20lbs and 96% for height. At our 6 month dr appt my pediatrician said she was very tall and checked the height restriction on my car seat. She said baby has 3 more inches to grow so it should last a couple more months but I am very tired of carrying her around in it. Any pros/cons of parents with experience are greatly appreciated. TIA

my daughter likes the convertible one,  its more comfortable for her I think.  the only down side is when she falls asleep in the car I kinda just get stuck and sit in the car with her until she wakes up because I cant just click the carseat out with her.

Infant one still for just a few more weeks. But we have a convertable one ready for baby.

We got a convertible because we will be taking a long road trip in a couple weeks and I wanted her to have more room. 
Our daughter is on the smaller side but she loves the space. She sits almost Indian style in the seat now that she’s not so compact. 
It’s definitely a transition to get her in the car instead of getting her ready inside and just plopping her in

We got a convertible one to replace the infant one but haven’t put it in yet I just leave the infant one in the car I don’t carry it around my son is 22lbs and 28 1/2 inch’s long and the infant car seat is restricted at 30 inch’s so it won’t be long and I’ll change it out.

I switched my daughter at 3-4 months, my plan was to use from birth but ran into some issues with the hospital so we borrowed and infant seat from my best friend. 
My daughter absolutely hated the infant seat. I also threw my back out sliding on ice and couldn’t carry the carrier. 
 She loves the car most days now

We switched to a convertible car seat at 6 months and my baby was so much happier in the car. He hated being squeezed into that infant car seat.
