Small stick?

What is that small stick at the end of a menstrual cup? Is it for pulling out, like the cord of a tampon? Why do some women cut it off then?

I use the stem for wiggling the cup a little bit lower since I have a really high cervix and then I break the suction and pull it out with the grip rings. It just helps me reach it

Im not entirely sure what the purpose of them is because you’re not supposed to use it to pull it out since it creates a suction. Most cut them off because it can stick out and be uncomfortable

It’s just for reaching it easier to pull it out and get a grasp on it. I cut mine off because I could feel it and it was so uncomfortable

I cut mine off too, I just pinch the bottom of the cup
