1st ultrasound

Hi everyone, so I have just found out I’m pregnant with my first baby - yay!! Keeping everything crossed that all goes to plan as I’m only about 4 weeks and I have endometriosis, i went to tell my

Doctor and the receptionist advised me to contact the midwife to arrange the next steps which I did and I have my first check up/discussion which is scheduled for the end of July.i am aware of the 12week scan but on this sight I’ve seen quite a few posts about early ultrasounds- is this different to the 12week scan or can someone help with what to expect when? I’m in the uk if that makes any difference. TIA x
