Pregnancy test when spotting

hey, I had sex last thursday and am spotting today (unusually pink) even though my period isn't supposed to arrive until Sunday. Would a pregnancy test be positive if this was implantation bleeding or would I have to wait a few days to take one? Thank you in advance.
