Can I breastfeed?

My baby was born premature. We tried to breastfeed and he just didn’t latch on long enough, he got tired fast. 
I feel horrible but I quit breastfeeding/pumping when he was 2 weeks old. Therefore, my milk supply has dried up. Can I try breastfeeding again? Will my milk come back in?

You can try. It’s called “relactation.” A lactation consultant could probably help you best. There’s some tricks to get your baby to latch if they haven’t been. One is to get in a warm bath with your baby and latch and nurse in the tub. It can help jump start the latch. Then you might want to do a “baby staycation” where you literally stay in bed with your baby with both of you stripped down and nursing as much as possible for about 3 days.

You can try but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with formula hun. Fed is best. Don’t be too hard on yourself
