Did lotion prevent stretch marks during your pregnancy?

I believe stretch marks are hereditary in pregnancy. But I’m curious to see who’s put lotion on during pregnancy and didn’t get any (or very little) stretch marks, or got a lot despite putting lotion on!

you are correct. they are hereditary.
my friend used creams, lotions , serums, since she found out, at 5 weeks. whenever u saw her,  she was slimy with something on her. she still got them everywhere on her tummy,  legs and back.
I am TINY. I was 116 lbs at 41 weeks delivery day. my daughter was average weight at 7 lbs 1 oz and 19 inches long. 
this was me a day before I went in labor. no stretch marks anywhere. not during pregnancy and not after. I used absolutely no creams of any kind.

Lotions do not prevent stretch marks lol clean diet, regular, daily exercise, slow and steady weight gain and staying hydrated is what prevents stretch marks.

My answer doesn’t fit the options:
Yes, didn’t get any. (Although I can’t say the lotion is the reason why). I used coco butter a lot and occasionally coconut oil. 
My mom and both of my sisters got them really badly so not so sure on the heredity claim. It’s possible I was extremely lucky. But I also had by far the biggest baby. They all had babies in the 8 pound range (every single baby) and mine was 10.2 pounds. I went 8 days overdue so I was shocked stretch marks never came. Even though my baby was way bigger, I didn’t gain as much weight as they all did so that could be a factor. I gained 35 pounds and they all gained 45+.

Use cocoa butter but get the one in the tub that looks like lard. Any other lotion in a bottle is thin and will just rub off on your clothes. I have 4 kids ages 6 and under and hardly any stretch marks, the few I have are from baby #3 when I got lazy about doing my cocoa butter at bedtime for awhile.

ive gotten a good amount and put lotion on every morning and every night along with bio oil 😡
