I am 38 weeks tomorrow and I had my third cervical check. My ob said I am 3cm and 70-80% effaced. At my last one on Monday I was 2cm dilated. The other checks have been uncomfortable but this one hurt. About three hours later I started cramping and having back aches. I took a bath and laid down and that seemed to help but I am still slightly crampy feeling and have had lightly brown spotting when I wipe, which I know is normal. Is it normal to feel cramping for hours after a check?

update: been cramping since 4pm, no contractions. I just wiped and got this. can this be from the cervix check? (click on second picture to see whole thing)
