Should i be concerned ?

Question

As I was feeding my son, I noticed that his head felt really hot, so I took his temp, it reads 99.5. Should I be concerned? He’s resting in his crib now. 
I’m watching him on his monitor and debating if I should wake him and give him some Tylenol or if I just wait it out. What do y’all think?

sounds fine... dont give him any tylenol unless he is noticeably upset

We've always been advised to treat the child not the fever, so if he's not bothered perhaps wait it out and see how it goes. you know what you are most comfortable doing though so trust your judgement on this

I’d wait. I’m definitely NOT a trained medical person but letting you know what I’d personally do. If he’s not showing any pain symptoms and you have no other reason to suspect anything is wrong, I wouldn’t wake him to give him any meds. That’s a super low fever and without any pain symptoms it will likely just pass. They can get a fever from teething. Maybe that could be the cause?

Thanks everyone, he woke up 3 more times since my post and his fever got up to 102 so that’s when I gave him some meds and I’ve had him sleeping on my chest for most of the night/ morning. Hoping this funk has passed but we’ll see. I feel exhausted.

I agree with everyone else. If your kid seems fine then I’d wait. No need to push meds. That’s super low
