Would you do a 9-month Masters Degree if you found out u were pregnant?

Dream goal: I was accepted into an awesome Masters program at a University. Its my last chance to do it, as I dont have kids yet.
I might become pregnant the month it starts.... (but I’ll only be studying, no work). There are long term breaks & only 8 months of actual in-person classes. They have pregnancy leave policies in place too. Despite possible complications- should I go for it?!

Absolutely!! Having a masters degree has opened so many doors for me, which has been great because nothing at all changed after getting my bachelors. Follow your dreams girl 💕✨

Definitely do it! It’ll be much easier to do without a baby but it won’t be impossible to do if you decide to wait until the baby is here. It just might be a little later on.

I'm kinda in the same situation. I'm 6 classes away from graduating with my degree in psychology, but some of the classes fall during my due date. I decided to take all the classes I can before that date and take my last 2 classes in the spring. It was such a tough decision as I really wanted to be done this fall.

I’m doing a dual MBA-MPH right now. I’ve only finished 2 classes, currently taking 2 and I just found out I’m pregnant. Baby isn’t going to stop me from achieving my goals! I may take a semester off or reduce to only 1 class instead of 2 right when baby is born but otherwise I’m sticking with it. Good luck to you and congrats!

Some details: The Uni is in another city & Id have to live on campus 3 hours away from husband. Im also high-risk at 42 years old....

I would say do it if it is something that will promote your career and that you are really wanting to do. I don’t think you should limit yourself though to thinking you have to do this pre-kids or there is no option to do it. I got both my Bachelors and Masters after having my children so it’s not like kids are a hard stop to a degree/furthering your education.

It’s not your last chance lol. I had my son right before I finished my undergrad- I was able to go to class and participate normally . He was was 6 when I finished my Masters. I was able to juggle class work, workplace study hours, my job and him for 23 months.
