How are you dressing your babies at night in the heat ? Do they always need a sleep sack ? My baby is currently just in his vest but even in the heat I need something covering me for comfort so I’m not sure what to do with him

Just a nappy. I live in England and we’re having a heatwave atm, it’s around 27 degrees Celsius during the day which doesn’t seem like much but I live in a Victorian terrace and the walls are a foot thick. His baby monitor is saying that the bedroom is between 24-29 at night

We keep our room at 68-70 in the summer, so our newborn sleeps in footed PJs and a swaddle.

We sometimes use a sleep sack and other times just a pair of footie pjs. My L.O. runs hot!! We keep it 69-70 at night.

When babies are overheated while sleeping, it increases their risk of SIDS. Babies do not always need a sleep sack, it’s just kind of like the baby version of a blanket, since they can’t use blankets until age one (also because of SIDS).  If it’s hot I wouldn’t use a sleepsack. Baby will let you know if he needs comfort - that’s what You are for! ☺️

My son sleeps in his diaper only. Since he was a newborn. But only during the hot months.

house is set to 76, so shes in footies or footless pjs. seems to be ok, she sleeps the whole night.

Our 13 month old just sleeps in a pj top, diaper and her sleep sack. We keep the house between 67 and 72 degrees.
